If i have a trial version of cce sp, will I still need to use eclcce? i have the new cce sp 2.70 and the current eclcce will not work with it. I guess i dont really understand the purpose for eclcce. Is it only for use with trial versions of cce?

thanks

It's needed for any trial version because it allows them to open/save ECL files.

It's also needed with the full version of 2.5 because it allows it to be used via the commandline (which DVD-RB needs).

It's useful for other full versions too because it adds several useful features like the ability to set CPU priority, remove the 'cancel' button so it doesn't get hit by accident, and minimize to systray, and some bitrate tweaking functions. Some of these aren't needed with DVD-RB though.

To my knowledge, RB does not support, yet, CCE SP 2.70, trial neither retail

additionally, I read (not sure) 2.70 trial would not need EclCCE, as it now support .ecl files

CCE v2.70+ works just fine with DVD-RB v0.69.

Just replace the:
; Cinema Craft Encoder SP -- Encoder Control List
; Created by DVD Rebuilder

with:
; CCE SP Trial Version -- Encoder Control List

at the top in REBUILDER.ECL

And you don't even need EclCCE, as pg55555 said.

No, after the prepare phase you got an item.ecl and rebuilder.ecl in the working dir. Bevor starting the encoding you can change it.

I tried that and could not get it to work!
I tried the following:
CCEBasic=C:\Program Files\Custom Technology\CCE SP Trial Version\cctspt.exe
I chose CCE basic...Does not work.
I tried it through eclcce...does not work

I tried:
CCENEW=C:\Program Files\Custom Technology\CCE SP Trial Version\cctspt.exe
I chose CCE SP...does not work.

Of course I tried this in 3 click mode:
I changed the following lines in the rebuider.ecl file:
; Cinema Craft Encoder SP -- Encoder Control List
; Created by DVD Rebuilder

with:
; CCE SP Trial Version -- Encoder Control List

at the top in REBUILDER.ECL

Nothing seems to work...

where did I go wrong?

I use: CCENEW=D:\Utils\DVD\CCE\cctspt.exe
with CCE SP v2.70.01.05.

Does CCE give you any error messages?

Edit: This, of course, only works if you have a completly unmodified version of the CCE executable.

if you have 2.70 trial will your backup have an a logo that will carry on throughout the whole movie?
isn't there a way to make this method of backup with tmpenc? tmpenc is better than doing it through dvd shrink.. i don't get to make work 2.70 ecc either.
thank you

Yes, there will be a blue logo on the final output if you use CCE trial version.

We can't explain it any easier. Edit REBUILDER.ECL according to the instructions above *after* Prepare phase.
Go back to DVD-RB and press Encode.

oh blimey, thank you for letting me know.

and yes it does work for me now; I hope it won't freeze I had a encode with 2.50 sp; I ran it this morning, then I left for the library the whole day to leave the computer alone, when i left the computer screen at 9.30 am it was encoding the first segment at it was at 36%, when I arrived home at 7 pm it was exactly at the same spot, first segment 36%, what's the reason of that frozen state? and I have a p4; 2.6 ghz hyper threading. so it' aint a pentium 166 mhz.
thank s anyway

Check how it's called now, because the call must be correct!
CCE SP Trial Version -- Encoder Control List

For testing use the original trial version and not a cracked version please.
