I am trying to create a 5.1 AC3 wav. I have 6 mono files created with PPro. I downloaded BeSweet, BeSwet GUI v0.6, and the BS_ac3enc files. All of these files were unzipped to a directory: d:\Hold4

I used wordpad to create a txt file with the following lines:
d:\Hold4\F51_0.wav (also lines 4,1,2,3,5) I saved the txt file and then renamed the ext to .mux

In the GUI I used the upper left area to choose the .mux file (channels.mux) for the input; the output was created as channels.wav. In the upper right I choose DSPguru AC3 for DolbyDigital-CD

I click on MUX TO WAV and get a 1k wav file and the following log:
Error 59: Failed to sync to payload's start position : "d:\Hold4\channels.mux"BeSweet v1.4 by DSPguru.

I am sure I am going something simply wrong. If anyone can help me out of this nightmare I would appreciate it. The end result I want is a surroudn file that I will pair up with a M2V video file abnd author a surround DVD with DVD-Lab Pro.

Thank You

Hi and Welcome...;)

Try with the last beta BeSweet release (http://www.dspguru.doom9.net).

Another thing : can you post your mux file please ? To see how it is built.

I will try it with the beta this evening when I get home. I am at work and do not have the file with me, but I can tell you what I did.

I used Wordpad and created a .txt document with 6 lines:

d:\Hold4\F51_0.wav
d:\Hold4\F51_4.wav
d:\Hold4\F51_1.wav
d:\Hold4\F51_2.wav
d:\Hold4\F51_3.wav
d:\Hold4\F51_5.wav

I saved it as channels.txt and then in windows renamed the .txt to .mux

All 6 of those files are in d:\Hold4 and I doubled checked to make sure the file names matched.

I hope that helps. I was following a post that I saw on another forum (adobe forums) of another person who was struggling to create a 5.1 dolby file to use with a video dvd. (http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?7@30.CuG3dH8vBJQ.1@.3bb4645e/54

Thanks for your help!

YAHOO!

Thank you very much Kurtnoise13. I switched to BeSweet Beta and GUI Bete (the ones your link led me to) and I was able to pull the audio into an AC3 file.

I used DVD-Lab Pro and was able to create a DVD. I threw it into my home system and it worked! I am excited.

Again, thank you very much!
