Hey there.
how can I change sup file to any other file? with bmp subpics that will be full size?

srt to sup can do it but it makes the bmp only the raw of the writen text and not the whole movie size.

MaestroSBT (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Subtitles/MaestroSBT.zip) is able to render full frame bmp pics for subtitles
You will need a ssa file for input though

well... I know how to do that.

I asked how to do that with a sup file?

because I don't have the vob files anymore but have the sup files.
and I want to reauthor with scenarist.

any posibility? or none?

I have no experience with Scenarist - does it really require "full-frame" bitmaps?

I am not sure if srt2sup does some sort of "auto-cropping" to the size of the text area, some dvds contain subtitle bmps which only have the size of the text area. You could try the dvdsuptools, they _should_ be able to extract bmp subs.

As a last resort, you might take a sufficiently long movie, use e.g. ifoedit to mux a vobset so that you can now use subrip (it allows you to resize bmp sub to full frame size.

None of this is from my own experience, just a few ideas.

would that bmps to be in a particular format, like RLE4?
I could do that, i think, by making a "debug output build" of a vobsub (and SUP) reader object i have sticking around somewhere. The real question for this is rather, would it have too many bugs :) Also i'd have to know what format the list must be in. Maybe i can provide it next weekend (no promise tho, i usually suddenly find something keeping me busy for the weekend :) ).
