I get and error saying Faialed to write file vts-01-04.vob
not enough space on the disc.
In shrink I had an all green bar and it appeared to decrypt ok.
this is happening with Pirates of the Carr., Mystic River etc.
I would appreciate any help possible.
Thanks,
Hollywood Dave

Check to see how the hdrive is formatted. If it's FAT32 (or less commonly, these days, FAT16), it won't handle files larger than 4Gb's. If that's the case reformat to NTFS.
It's pretty common for vob files to be close to 1GB in size; failure to write the fourth file makes sense if your drive is FAT formatted.
You didn't specifically mention that this is an external drive, but if it is, it reminds me of my first external drive, which was FAT32 formatted...and also jammed me up a bit on my first Shrink rip while using it. :)

You are correct...where can I find instructions on how to reformat the F drive. It is external and formatted FAT32...
Thanks!

If you're running an XP operating system:
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disc Management > Rt-click on the drive you want to format and choose "Format", then "NTFS".
You can access these same directions from your XP help files by Start > Help and Support. In the search input field, key in "NTFS" and spend some time reading those returns, it'll really help you to understand the differences between NTFS and FAT. The return that will give you the same steps I've offered here is "Format a basic volume".

I think I may have found the answer....I went to properties of my drive F: I moved the all the files I wanted to save to my desk top (very few) and chose to format my F: drive to NTFS. I am currenty trying to copy a DVD. I hope this solves the problem.
If not you can expect a message in the future.

Formatting to NTFS is going to fix you up.

It appears that your total post count was accrued in this thread, so welcome to the forum!
