Hi, im new to dvd rb and am just going step by step fom the guide. I am trying to backup Anchorman and am using CCE SP as my encoder. I downloaded CCE SP (the free version) and EclCCE. I opened eclcce and selected my CCE SP exe file from the menu. Then I selected the EclCCE exe in the CCE SP application path in DVD RB setup screen. It prepares everything fine, but as soon as I go to encode it brings up eclCCE window and freezes. No progress is shown in the eclCCE window (it will not respond to anything and I have to shut it down via CTRL+ALT+DEL)

Why is this not working for me? Am I doing something wrong? I am pretty unfamiliar with the program so far so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After eclcce is configured it should be invisible -- instead of bringing up an eclcce window it should bring up the CCE window. You should reinstall and configure eclcce for the CCE SP exe. Make sure you then select the correct eclcce.exe (usually you should install it in the same directory as cce.exe).

What version of CCE SP are you using? RB current versions do not work with the latest CCE SP 2.70 and above.

Do any RB versions work with the latest CCE 2.70?

No. Cinema Craft saw fit to once again change the meaning of some of their .ECL parameters in 2.70 and adjustments need to be made.

Jdobbs:
When are you planning to support CCE 2.70 ??
I´ve been trying it and it gives better quality than 2.67 or 2.50

jdobbs,
If CCE is continually being tweaked, will your work with RB ever be considered 'done'? It seems to require quite a lot of work to incorporate new .ECL parameters every time CCE changes them in a new version...
It appears that most of us are very pleased with the current RB/CCE combinations we now use, but if CCE keeps evolving...??

oh, and,
:D !happy new year!:D

It's definitely a pain. My current problem is that while I can change the ECL format for 2.70 -- I have no way to test it.

Cinemacraft release final CCE version not very often. So only 1/2 years from now it will be a new version.
If you want i can try a new Rebuilder version with CCE 2.70 support. The CCE 2.70 uses some new parametrs very interessing.
Adaptative matrizes and improves fades scenes.
From the tests that i have done, it gives better quality than 2.67

Sorry :)
I´m refering to final version changes (2.50, 2.66, 2.67 and 2.70).
Not refering to ecl changes.
If possible support for 2.70 would be great
