Is there an eaiser way (faster even) of ripping program chains from a dvd that's already been ripped to the hard drive?

The way i've been doing it using dvd decrypter and getting all the files off of it, and then later going back and using doitfast4u and getting the program chains in one vob that way. Is this the only way to do it? It seems tedious to do it this way as i don't really need it to seperate any of the other parts, i.e. i just need it to give me the chains with all the audio with it.

As you probably can infer i'm trying to do this for tv episodes, and trying to create a "best of" but i've already ripped the dvd's. Any other advice would be helpful.

Thanks,
-Dave

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

If I understand your question, you're using DVD Decrypter to read discs twice, for both a File rip and an IFO parsed rip.

You can use Vstrip and VstripGUI to do the IFO parse rip from your HD. Doom9 has a guide (http://www.doom9.org/vstrip.htm).

Well basically I'm trying to just rip program chains, and sometimes it seems they are split across multiple vob files.

But that program you mention looke promising. I'll check it out, and thanks for the help.

If you just want PGCs, then rip using DVDDecrypter in IFO Mode in the first place. If you want the whole DVD, and also PGCs later on, then rip using DVDDecrypter in ISO->Read Mode first, mount it in DaemonTools, and then rip the PGCs off of that.
