Hi,
I am trying to create a DVD image using the Nero Image burner. But the DVD image created by Nero is not playable using any software DVD player. But if I play from the HDD using WinDVD it plays fine.
Does anyone know what could be the problem or can I use any other tool to build a DVD image?
Thanks.

From my own experience everything to do with Nero for DVD is unreliable (CD is another matter). Assuming all your assets are in a folder named VIDEO_TS then use imgtool classic to create the image. Burn this image with DVD DECRYPTER.
NB in imgtool you need to specify the top folder - and make sure that top folder has nothing except the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. ie
c:\test\VIDEO_TS
specify the test folder.

Well I have nothing to add to the very good advice Zeul gave you. But I wonder why you've posted this in this forum, since it's not really related?

@Zeul
Thanks Zeul. I will try your method as soon as I get back to my home PC.
@influenza
I figured I will get quick and better answer here since this forum is all about DVD backup and part of the DVD backup is to finally burn the data to disk.
If my assumption is wrong please let me know which forum will be better and next time I will post all my burning related questions in that forum.

If you want to play a DVD from a Nero image, you have to activate the built in image drive. ( if the image drive is activated, you can also use Deamon Tools to mount it).
