Vobsub hides idx/sub by default

I use bsplayer and vobsub 2.23 for subtitles. When a movie starts vobsub shows .sub or .srt subtitles but hides the idx/sub by default. I didn't find an option for this in the configuration dialog. Is it a bug or do you have any idea how to solve it?

i also am having this problem. well i think i am.

right now i have a weird movie, took forever to find the strange and forigh codec's, and its got subtitles.

i need to put it on DVD, but whenever i use virtualdub it wont read the subtitles, so i need a 3rd party application to extract those subtitles for me, anyone have any suggestions? its in AVI format now.
