I have bought recently( 1 month ago) a Aopen DUW1680/ARR Dvd Writer, and mounted it on a Asus A7V8X-X board, with a AMD Semprom 2400+, 512DDR400 Kingston, and tryed it out doing some shrinks of my own DVD movies. The drive had the A040b firmware version.
I made the 2 first rips onto DVD+r ok, but when i tryed to burn onto DVD-R, it failed me twice, so i went and did a firmware update to the latest A060 version an it burned ok.
2 weeks later, i reallised that the burns i did after the firmware update had a little problem: u can play the disk fine untill half way, then it starts hacking and jumping 3-4 secs. every 2-3 mins. playback until u reach the end with jumps of nearly 30 secs.
I had allready installed the latest Nvidia forceware drivers for my GF4MX440SE128DDR, Via 4in1 v4.55 dirvers,DirectX 0.9b and then i tried to downdate the firmware to the older version and i just get a RICOH Ploader and not a aopen DUW1608/ARR dvd drive!!!
I´ve been using DVDShrink and DVDDecripter latest versions, and allready tryed burning with Nero 6.6.0.3, 6.3.0.1, Roxio Easy cd Creator 6, DVDDecripter and Alcohol 120%, and still i get the same problem.
The thing is that i can play them ok in my computer, but not in the livingroom player.
Please gimme just a little help, Please?
