Hi All,
I am looking for a software with the help of which i can
directly extract Subtitles from DVD.
Formats to Extract
1.> Binary - .idx/.sub
2.> Text - .srt or .sub(is this possible to extract directly)
If direct extraction to .srt or .sub (Text Subs) is not possible
how do i convert .idx/.sub to .srt or .sub
If this is already discussed please post the links.
Wating for your replies.

Hi:
Do you mean extract the subs directly from the DVD without decrypting?
I hardly believe that's possible...
I've once extracted the subs directly from the DVD (SubRip), but that was one of my back ups, so, no encryption and protection, anyway, I had terrible synch problems afterwards.
I'd suggest, use DVD Decrypter to put the DVD in your HD, and then use VobSub (idx/sub) or SubRip (srt) to get the subs. It's a sure way.
Greetings! :)

Do you mean DVD Decrypter to Decrypt the entire movie to the HDD.
Then use VobSub to extract Subs.
Is it possible to extraxt subs directly to .srt (Text based)
Please confirm on the entire method.
are the .srt files text based.

I hope you wanted to ask... it look like this.
Normally, I decrypt the main movie (Main VOB files) into my HD with DVD Decrypter, then I use SubRip. You can choose to have the subs in bmp format, as graphic, or as text in srt format.
Everytime you extract the subs from VOB files, SubRip create temporary files, and they need to be saved somewhere. You can, eventually, rip the subs from a non protected DVD (Back up) just selecting the main VOB files directly from the DVD, but it's gonna be slower and I am not sure it's the best way. I'd do it from the HD.
Greetings! ;)

SubRip is a wonderful peice of software and within a few seconds
i got used to it.
Within a few minutes i was able to create a character matrix file.
Now i leave the rest to the software and it extracts subs easily.
Is there a software to rip (binary subtitles directly .idx/.sub files
which has multiple languages) , hope so VobSub will solve my this problem.
