Hi, can someone point me in a direction please!!

I know i've seen this error sometime ago where files are not supposed to be a the right place. I got an error 53, and my path are good. I've only had this error with 0.70!! Can someone tell me where are the files?.

It appen Only when i click the encode phase

Another thing too... If you set long path in the new skin, the path does not show up properly... Post a picture of that.. Look at the path to cce, it does not show up properly...

Well I can show you an image of my configuration and you can see the complete path, if you want to...
... why there are some people that put their programs on Judas' a$$? :)

There aren't fields big enough for a path like:
c:\Program Files\Another folder 'cause I want to\yet another one\ok... just one more\I lied here's the last\Custom Technology\Cinema Craft Encoder SP\cctsp.exe

But I'm pretty sure that the field has the sufficient size for a:
C:\Program Files\Custom Technology\Cinema Craft Encoder SP\cctsp.exe

see what I mean? :)

keep it UP

Also.. please edit your topic to something that more describes your problem 'error 53 with 0.70' would be a start. (and leave the exclamation out plz.) Thanks :)

@Rockas
hehe

could the ini be edited to use the 8.3 equilvls (like c:\progra~1\...) ?

All right, sorry folks for the unclear comment.

I'll try to be more clear. First, i've solve my problem about the not find files.

Here's what appens at my place :

My path to eclcce is :
C:\Documents and Settings\XD\Desktop\REBUILDER\EclCCE

If i go to rockas original skin, in the setup option to specify the path of the various encoder, i only got this :

C:\Documents and

If i try to select eclcce with that skin, it pop an error saying file not found for the encoding.
But if i switch to simple blue, the path is display fully, and the encoding start right.

I don't know much about programming, but i've notice that when i want to specified the path to eclcce, it seach by default for CCESP.exe. Could the skin, no showing everything does not update the path to my elccce?

Thanks, i hope it was clear.

@ Xuivo

thanks for posting. you were clear enough for me and you were correct. i checked my version of rb70, clicked on rewrite defaults first, and its the same as yours.

i suppose its the field size, but rockas original skin has not been working for me for some time. in order to see my complete paths, i always have to go back to rockas leather, which is just as cool and has bigger fields. ive used leather to backup one movie at a time and also batch processing without any problems.

i suppose rockas wants to keep the field small on rockas original.

Please don't get me wrong about this guys :)

When something is made, it has to be made to cover the large majority of users (but without forgeting the minorities:))... the most common definition is to have the programs installed on the windows' default folders for programs, isn't that right?

Putting your programs on your desktop isn't such a good ideia at all :) ... at least for two main reasons:

1st. Sometimes programs have trouble when dealing with "spaces" and special characters on their paths.

2nd. It will make your windows start slower. That's why people should keep their desktop as clean as possible.

I, also, can't make the interfaces as big as I, sometimes, should 'cause I must think of users that still uses 800x600 resolutions and we will alway have the design question :)... I know that nobody said that this life is easy... but please don't make it harder that it is already :D

Keep it UP

If i try to select eclcce with that skin, it pop an error saying file not found for the encoding. Hmmmm... there's more to this than meets the eye. The content of the field wouldn't change and should be the same no matter what skin you've selected. The only difference would be in the display characteristics. Are you positive this happens every time you switch back and forth?

I did not check switching back from the blue default to rockas orginal skin. But one thing sure, i could not select properly the eclcce when using rockas original skin. It just pop the cannot find files error. But as soon as i switched to the blue default and select it back again, it works perfectly. I'll try the opposite and i will get back quickly

@rockas

my path has never been on the desktop nor do i have long paths. it has always been:
C:\Program Files\Custom Technology\Cinema Craft Encoder Basic\cct2.exe

when i use any of the skins available, except rockas original, setup lists my path correctly.

only when i switch to rockas original skin, does setup list my path as:
C:\Program Files\Custom Technology\Cinema Craft Encoder

so i just switch back to rockas leather and the backups are great. i also like to see my working path in its entirety in case i make a mistake and rockas leather has deeper/wider fields.

The fact that is doesn't fit in the box isn't the issue. What you are seeing is a point at which the box rolled down to the next line (which isn't visible). I see that too, but it works fine. As long as it is properly stored in the rebuilder.ini file everything is fine.

What Xuivo is saying is that he got an error when trying to execute using that line. My belief is that the two aren't connected, and that is why I asked him to check it both ways.

All right. It works one one way. If you try to select a path initially with the rockas original, you get a error in the file path.

But if you select from standard blue or original then switch back to rockas original, it works.

It does not bother me though, but people trying installing dvd-rb using the rockas original skin and having a path like mine may have problem

If you open the program right now (still) and select "Rockas Original" and then try to select a path -- you're saying it gets an error?

Well, only in the encode section, not when i instantly select it. I select the path (which don't show properly) and everything goes right up to the encode phase. In that phase, as soon as i click encode, i get the error 53, file not found.

But if i swith to the others skin, reselect the path, and then repress encode, everything goes right.

Can you look in the INI file after you set it and see if it is stored correctly?
