Hi!
I'm using xp pro.
I'd like to know if it is possible to have two network connections with the same network card but different IP-configurations. One IP-adress would be configured manually and the other dynamically. When connecting to the network one would just change between connections by which to connect through or using one of them by default, as we do to connect to different printers.

Pop in another PCI network card and youre done, or go WiFi, else i dont think 1 MAC address can have 2 ips, one manual, one dhcp

Well, I found software ie:ipswitch, that can do the jobb. It saves different ip settings as different profile. All you have to do is activate the profile you wish to use. Rather smart and simple idé!
I used a program called MobileNetSwitch (http://www.mobilenetswitch.com/) But I did not find it quite stable. The reason I waw looking for this kind of solution is I have a pc with no xtra pci slot and I have two internet connection to get connected.

Well there u go, I never heard of that app but good for u. Having another PCI card would be easy though as u could have them both on at once.

SwitchIP Address (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/IP-Tools/SwitchIP-Address.shtml) is another quite stable tool but you can use maximum two profiles.
