Hi,
I got a Sony DW-D56A drive in my laptop. It's a dual format, dual layer DVD writer. I already burned some DVD (only + by now, I don't even have other blank discs) and now I wanted to burn another one, but Nero (6.6) wants to have a DVD- blank.
I think it might have to do with my messing with the region code setings (although I was told it was save!). I used ltnrpc to disable the counter. I also installed DVD Region Killer.
Although I uninstalled the latter and enabled the counter again Nero still wants those other discs.
DVDinfopro, however, tells me that all formats are supported.
Please help (I need to finish a late Christmas present)

edit: OK, more information (but it doesn't make it easier - at least not for me:confused: ):
I downloaded and installed the latest Nero (6603), but still the same problem. Strange thing is: Although Nero Info Tool (as well as DVDInfopro) tells me that both DVD formats are supported, in the recorder-list in Nero Burning Rom it says only "DVD-R/RW; CD-R/RW".
Even when I undo the RPC-settings with ltnrpc Nero won't know the drive supports the other formats, unless I uninstall Nero Burning Rom and Vision express and reinstall them...

Merry Christmas to all of you,
bye,
