just found this: MediaFrame is an opensource (GPL) streaming media platform in Java supporting mpeg-1 and mpeg-4 atm

seems there is a new version up, supporting streaming and playing aac, mp3 audio and mpeg-4 asp video in .mp4

just in case noone realised what this is about: with this tool you can stream .mp4 and people can play it in their browser without having to install any special player, like qt, wmp or rp
