Playback problem

Hi.. I have with succes converted avi-files to dvd and burned them on Verbatim DVD-R 4.7 gb. But now I experience some problems while playback. The first 10-15 minutes of the dvd is turning out perfect, but then it starts hacking and the sound dosent fit for some minutes. But then after a minute or two, the sound suddenly fits again. For about 5-10 minutes the dvd playes perfect, but then it happens again. The sound is 0-5 sec behind.

The dvd is played on a noname-dvdplayer..

Can this problems be a cause of burning the dvd too fast?

Try burn at 2,4. Also check the compatiblity of your DVD player so that it's able to play the DVD-format you want it to play. Some players (still)can't take +DVD -DVD formats...
