Not sure if this is the right place to ask. My problem is I got a Hitachi CP-X275 projector to watch my movies on a big screen. However it does not play my movies that I encoded with divx 5. It works fine with normal DVDs and .mpg files.

I tried several mediaplayers (zplayer, powerdvd) and when I try to play divx then my normal tft-screen works fine and the projector just shows a black box. mpeg2 is fine however.

Is there a filter to install to make it work?

Are you using an ATI video card? If so, you should set the monitor to be your "Primary" device. With many models of ATI video card that support multiple output devices, only one device may be used in Overlay mode, which is usually used for video display by software players.

also if you have mpc
set it to overlay in the ogm/output option bar
because if you don't the overlay may not work
I had that problem for a while but I fixed it :)

I have indeed a ATI card. Thank you very much for helping!
