i understand this is offtopic but

iīve riped DVD into H.264 Nero+ HE-AAC. (container mp4)
i grabed CD (2mode 818 Mb). File : matrix_revolucion.mp4.dat
i tried players as showtime, MPC, Core Media Player (support 2mode disc 800Mb), Bsplayer, Windows10 and othes, but itīs always the same.
I cant watch it.
The problem is extention : *.dat

I don't get the problem. Rename the file to have correct extension??

i know if i will copy *.dat file into hdd, i could change extention.
but i donīt want .

i grabed 800 Mb CD not for copy to Hdd later. if there any way to play it?

I would have thought that MPC's CDXA parser would parse it? Perhaps it just can't work with Nero's filters? I don't see how renaming would work anyway as the header would still be there.

I'm not sure if a solution was found, but there's only 9 pages to look through ;) avih did modify his DSF (xcdsrc.ax) to work better with the 3ivx splitter but I don't think he ever released it. Reports were that xcdsrc.ax sometimes works with 3ivx and somtimes was very, very slow to open. I was a tester so I'll try new and old versions with Nero and report back. If it works, maybe we can convince him to release it. Also, have you tried Gabest's reader?
