How can I check if a disc has Macrovision

I hope this is the correct forum...

How can I check whether a disc has Macrovision? I don't need to rip it, just be able to say to a client 'yay' or 'nay'.

I'm guessing IFO-Edit might be the tool of choice, in which case I am posting this in the wrong forums.

plug the dvd in via your video recorder and try to play it.

If it fades in and out, you've got macrovision on there.

Other than that, look at the vobs in Vobedit.

Find a Navigation packet then look at [0031] Macrovision (APS).

If it's 0, it's not there.
