View Full Version : Questions about Nero Digitals Filters and Graphedit

Got some questions about the nero filters and graphedit:

1. Is there a way to mux a (he-)aac Audio stream (inside an .mp4 shell) and a h.264 videostream (inside an mp4 shell) into an .mp4 shell using the Nero Digital Muxer and File Writer?
(over here the Nero Digital Muxer doesn't accept the he-aac Audiostream, not matter if it's in an mp4 shell or a raw .aac stream)

Why I 'want' this?
- would be nice to feat recode an avs script encode the video, and encode audio with BeSweet and then mux the streams into an mp4 shell
- would be nice to use the muxer to split an .mp4(h.264,he-aac) file into multiple parts

2. Anyone found a way to use the Nero AVC Video Enc or Nero Audio Encoder inside Graphedit?
(okay, this is useless (for me) if the muxer can't mux audio&video)

3. Does any one use the nero filters in graphedit if 'yes' in which way? (Personally I like that they can render a mov file source)

Ps.: What ways do you know to split and mux .mp4 files which contain h.264&he-aac ?

MP4UI does it everything in a few clicks of a mouse :D

@leo 69:
1. that doesn't help me in graphedit ;)
2. How do you split files (cut into multiple files) using MP4UI?
(you are speaking of http://mp4ui.sourceforge.net/ right? )
I only know how to (de-)mux streams with it,...

@Selur
I guess there's no way to split them with graphedit though...
But I can tell you the EASIEST way to split them !
Just use "MAKE MOVIE" feature of Nero Vision Express 3!
Cheers mate !

Nero AVC Splitter --> Nero AVC Muxer --> Nero AVC File Writer.

For muxing, I noticed the same thing :
(over here the Nero Digital Muxer doesn't accept the he-aac Audiostream, not matter if it's in an mp4 shell or a raw .aac stream)

And IIRC, mp4UI isn't updated to recognize H264/AVC mp4 files...

@Kurtnoise13:
Since you noticed the problem when muxing an mp4 file (aac&h264), how do you build this graph:
Nero AVC Splitter --> Nero AVC Muxer --> Nero AVC File Writer
without losing the audio stream?

"And IIRC, mp4UI isn't updated to recognize H264/AVC mp4 files..."
No, it isn't but it ignores the stream and just pipes it through :)
So (de)muxing is possible ;)

seems so, or they just want to prevent that someone uses their filters outside of Recode,...

would be evil :D

they definitly did this on purpose if one renames graphedit.exe to recode.exe one can at least insert the Nero AVC Video Enc filter,.. though one can't configure it :(
