Hello
I'm new using Ifoedit, I found Ifoedit a good and fast tool to Author a DVD with one MPEG2 track, but I want to learn how to add multiples video tracks, I do not need Menus, just chapters.
I'm using this for personal movie clips.
Can somebody guide me to add more than one video track using Ifoedit
Thanks

Use IfoEdit or MuxMan to create your VOBs and IFOs, then rename the VOB/IFO files and use DVDFab to create multiple titles on one DVD.
See the "DVB to DVD-R guide" on Doom9's site for more info.

You could also try DVDAuthorGUI (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DVDAuthorGUI.htm) or DVDStyler (http://dvdstyler.sourceforge.net/). Both are GUIs for DVDAuthor. DVDstyler seams to be easier to use and might maybe provide the fastest way to do the things you want?

I use dvdauthorgui routinely. Its really nice, especially for episodic discs. Good menu generation as well.
I have also been trying MuxMan to get a high quality muxed VOB and then reauthoring via 1. vobedit join->ifoedit create ifos OR 2. dvauthorgui with the MuxMan VOBs.

Do I understand you correctly? Vobs muxed in Muxman are somehow better than vobs muxed in dvdauthorgui? How? I guess I'm still quite n00bish in this area.

Actually, the vobs muxed with Muxman are better than the vobs muxed with mplex.exe, as called from dvdauthorgui. mplex is from the mjpegtools project (see sourceforge) and is used in tons of programs, like IfoEdit apparently. See the MuxMan thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86338) and the muxman page at mpucoder's site for the details. In its current stage, MuxMan might have a bug or two, but the output aims to be more DVD compliant than most open source methods. I had hoped for MuxMan to accept multiple sources for authoring, but that's a tall order at this stage.
This is all new to me too, but nonetheless interesting.

If any of what I say below is incorrect, please feel free to correct me.
but, from what I understand, Ifoedit is built on some old outdated mplex code. The mplex version packaged with dvdauthorgui is fairly recent, and I believe the mjpegtools folks have fixed a great number of problems that were in mplex.

liquid217,
First off, I love dvdauthorgui! It is extremely handy and easy to use. The motion menu generation function has inspired me to make some pretty fun menus with avisynth. Its my favorite frontend to dvdauthor.
I have no idea what code base Ifoedit uses. I'm also making no claims about the integrity of the mplex routines. In fact, mplex has never failed to create a completely playable disc (for me). I am just rephrasing mpucoder's conclusions based on his analysis.
I have noticed that the support binaries packaged with dvdauthorgui are very up-to-date, and I have no doubts that dvdauthorgui is a sound way to author dvds. The dvdauthor.exe is even newer than the binaries offered on the sourceforge page, as you know. And I'm sure you've taken care to keep all the supporting tools current, compling from source when necessary. Very impressive.
I value dvdauthorgui and will continue to use it!

Hello All
Thanks for the great help, finally I was able to do a DVD with six screens Menu and 36 Video Music clips using DVDStyler as recommended by "M7S" post, is so cool and easy, the thing is that I'm using already MPEG2 clips and all DVD Authority software was doing the transcoding again taking more than 6 hours just to create one DVD like this.
I will try all other software that you guys mentioned here, I hope continue learning about these good tools
:)
