I am authoring my own DVD with some home made movies and some pics that I took with my digital camera. I am using Sony Vegas 5.0b, and I am using DVD Architecture to actually author the menu and create the DVD. I have put a sound file into the menu and under the "End Action" I have selected "Loop." The music loops in the Preview window of DVD Architecture, but when I burn it to a DVD, it does not loop. Can anyone help me with this problem and tell me how to fix it?
Thanks,
Bob

I"m not at all familiar with the tools you're using. But I think it might be several things:
- Somehow, something went wrong in the encoding and your music is shorter than the duration of the cell (silence at the end?)
- Maybe the your menu PGC or cell has a still time, and isn't looping?

What are the symptoms: can you hear the music in the beginning then it stops and never comes back? Can you open your DVD in PgcEdit and check your menu PGC (right click on the menu PGC and select "PGC Info"), then paste it here. This will show some useful info, for example, we'll be able to see if the menu actually loops, or has a still time...

Or you could ask your question in a vegas forum?

Jeani,
I found the problem with my DVD Architecture not playing the music on the main menu in a loop. I had to use the update from Sony to update the program and that fixed the problem.
Thanks anyway.
