View Full Version : Nero Wont Burn Dvd..help !!!

I tried backing up one of my dvds today and nero wont burn it....It use to always work fine, this is the first time it hasnt worked. It sais SCSI command aborted...burn process failed... I have the DVD drive as the master and the CDRW drive as a slave on the same channel....Below is my nero error log...any ideas???

I'd remove you cdRW, make the Dvd writer the master on the secondary IDE channel, and make sure all virtual drives are disabled. It could be that your CDrw is mucking around with the ASPI layer.

Hi. I just wanted to tell you, that you are showing one of the Nero's keys... and it is very dangerous to do that, anybody could download a demo version of Nero and make it full with your key...
I would not do that!

I have the same problem as the person above who posted the log.

I have Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.3. I have a Mad Dog Megastor 7in1 external burner connected via USB2. Windows XP SP2

I have been unable to back up any dvd's. I used DVD shrink and have also tried dvd decrypter. I think the files are fine, but for some reason the burn is failing. I have the compression in dvd shrink set to automatic. I've tried to just make a backup and also tried the re author feature with no luck. I have a CDRW internal IDE which I disabled through the device manager. Still no luck. I wouldn't think that would be interfering with a USB device anyway. Also, I have tried disabling the "windows" burn feature. Where you make the drive recordable through the properties. I've turned it on and turned it off, same problem. Burn failed.

I am able to make a date disc using dvd-R with the DVD burner, just not able to make a DVDvideo. So the drive works, Nero and dvd shrink recognize the drive. I have followed the tutorials to the letter, all I've accomplished is wasting about a dozen dvd-r disks.

Any ideas? I need some help bad.
