Hidalgo and selected subtitles

I'm burning Hidalgo but I don't know how to burn it so the subtitles appear only for the portions of the movie where the speech is in native american. Can someone point me to a link or explain how this can be done. I'm new at this stuff so please speak in laymans terms.

I´ve got the same problem and I think it is not possible to play the subtitles only when they are necessary.
Play the DVD and you will see: you can what the movie with subtitles all the time, or with no subtitles. So there are no infos in the subtitle stream, like the forced-info in forced subtitles.
