I don't know about others, but I have a few dvd's I hase backup'd up. I have my dvd's on a portable HD. Along comes a new and better codec. I wonder if I should recode my DVD, but what a pain going thru each dvd with dvd2avi, and several steps with virtualdubmod. I created this little program frontend for dgindex and virtualdub to crank thru a folder with a bunch of DVD subfolder and creat a folder with subfolder of the final avi's. I have a extra computer for encodes only, so I set this up, and a week later I have all my avi's in the new codec
