Comment by Tom's Hardware: Alienware announced the second generation of its DHS Series media center system. The DHS 2 Series comes with Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and offers the functionality of a DVD recorder, CD recorder, DVR, Tuner and a performance PC. Wrapped in a stylish silver casing, Alienware offers the new Media Center PC... Standard equipment include a Pentium 4 520 processor (3.0 GHz), an ATI Radeon X300 PCI Express graphics card, FM radio and TV tuner card, an 80 GByte harddisk and a DVD drive. The DHS 2 Series also can be ordered with dual standard definition TV tuners that allow two shows to be recorded at once. The DHS 2 Series is available immediately in the North American market. The company said it will launch the new media center system throughout Europe in early 2005.

Interesting (and cool). Stuff like this will definitely be the wave of the future, but I think I'll wait until the components (and cases, perhaps most importantly) become common and I can build one of those myself for 1/3 to 1/6 the price of what Alienware charges ;)

Oh, and I forgot: Alienware's support rivals Dell's in its horribleness

Peace,

I think this is in large part due to the shift of call centers to India. I love calling support, getting someone that you can't understand, that has no idea what they are doing, and then having to call 7 times over the course of a year to get a single DVD-R/RW drive replaced. :( Thank you HP.
