About: zones, registry entries, virualdub job list

Hi - When i set up zones on the Xvid codec configuration tab, where are the zones settings stored?
Belong that thread about xvidset.exe (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85807&highlight=registry+xvid+zones) they are stored in the registry.

Supposed they are only stored in the registry, won't this make troubles when i set up a job list (for VirtualDub) for some films whereof every film has its own zones? - Wouln'd that use for my first film to encode the zones of the last film?

You may just wanna _try_ it.

People would have complained quite often if this wouldn't work.

And about trial and error... I have to do so many tries:
- More bitrate, less bitrate
- 1,2 or 3 B-Frames
- GMC & Qpel
- BVOP, GMC & QPel all toghter (some players like mine hate too much features :().
- TemporalSoften, Undot, MedianBlur, Deen, STMedian, TBilieral, ...
- Experiencing with all the Xvid settings i don't even understand yet... ;)


I don't want to appear thankless. I can imagine many users here have had a harder way and even had to write their onw programs, plugins or filters to fit best for their own use.
All the more i appreciate the possibility to browse the forum and to post my questions here. :)
