Stupid newbie question... I'm sure I've seen the answer somewhere before, but even a Google search of this site fails to find it.

In Windows 98SE, I've installed VirtualDUB 1.5.10 to one directory, installed LAME to another, and copied Lame_enc.dll to windows\system. But VirtualDub still can't find the LAME codec.

What have I forgotten to do?

no seems a stup question cos was hard to find the solution.

download : http://spanish.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/lame3.95.1.zip

unzip, right click in LameACM.inf and choose install
(select lame_acm.xml inside the unzipped lame folder)!

done!
