I am having Xvid playback problems;
When playing an Xvid video there is a sort of a striped video echo (a striped double image) on 25% left side screen.
This only happens on one computer but same Xvid video plays perfect on two other computers.
All other video formats play well on the same problem computer.
Display of that Xvid video is OK when opened in Vdub on same computer.

Maybe you have an 'overlay' problem on that computer, so try installing again your player and update your video card drivers.
If that not helps try replacing your player by another one, 'Media Player Classic', 'DivX Player', ...

The same problem occurs in several players:
ZoomPlayer, RealPlayer, M$ MediaPlayer 10, MediaPlayer Classic.
But only for Xvid:
Ok for other formats like DVD, DivX, RealMedia.
Uninstall and reinstall Zoom did not change situation.

If XviD decoder does not work well for whatever reason, it's probably just best to switch to another decoder. There is a wide range of decoders that work well - ffdshow first, also divx and 3vix.
Just choose whichever works best for you.

Hms,
Since Vdub is opening ok at your computer, it may be a problem with the DirectShow decoder. Please check out which one is installed at your computer, and also which version it is.
I suggest installing the latest version of Milan Cutka's ffdshow DirectShow (de)coder. You can find it at http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki.
Feel free to contact anytime.

Yes: It was the Direct Show filter.
Thanks!
