didn't find any options in GK to choose mkv outfile.... only divx and xvid....
I don't have any clue about how to use Gk for mkv....
Anyway there isn't any mtroska codec in Gk codedpack...
So, if someoen do'nt mind can't he explain to me how to use Gk for mkv ? is there a FAQ for Matroska AND GK ? i saw one only for virtualdubmod, whoch i know is used by GK ....

i m currently using Gk0.28.8 probably why i don't have that option ...
thanks for your help....
last question : which codec to use it ? divx 5.X or xvid ??
or is it another stupid question ? i mean the filter of the outfile will be mkv but the codec used for compression should be divx or xvid....

Which codec? That's a matter of personal choice. If you're interested in comparison testing techniques, see http://www.doom9.org/codec-comparisons.htm.
