Optimize AutoGK width res for Anamorphic titles

Okay..here's another question. If I'm converting an Anamorphic DVD to maximize resolution in AutoGK, if I set the width to 720, would that not be 'downgrading' the potential resolution of the anamorphic dvd. That is, would that not lose the extra details that anamorphic provides and make the resultant encoding equivilent to a non-anamorphic dvd?

Should the width to set to something wider depending on the aspect ratio of the anamorphic title? Any thoughts?
