SSE and SSE2 are instruction sets for processors, that can be used to speed up certain operations.
If you want more information, just enter sse2 into google...
You should make sure that your processor supports SSE2 respectively SSE before using one of these builds.
As I found out by searching for sse2 in this board "athlonXP supports SSE, athlon64 supports SSE+SSE2."
