View Full Version : A good free MPEG splitter?

Here's the whole story:

I have captured a 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour movie onto my computer. Because I used the timer on my capture card, there is about 1 1/2 minutes of annoying Direct TV ads at the beginning & the end that I want to trim off before I burn the movie onto a DVD+R. I downloaded quite a few splitters off of Download.com, and they all sucked.

I finally downloaded the trial version of TMPGEnc MPEG Editor. It looked like it was going to do exactly what I wanted, and then it said "Only the first 30 minutes will transfer with the Trial Version." I'm not going to pay $68 for this program.

Any suggestions on a good free MPEG splitter that will allow me to save and then burn a whole movie?
