View Full Version : easy way to convert chapters into xvid?

i've searched everywhere on this forum and couldn't find anything using the newer release of autogk that requires dvddecryptor involvement first. in IFO mode in dvd decryptor, you'd have to select each chapter individually and then convert each chapter into xvid one by one in auto gk.

has anyone found an easier way in auto gk to take, for example, a series dvd like simpsons and convert each chapter into an xvid? it would take forever to do each simpsons episode one by one in dvd decryptor and then some time in auto gk as well. the only other way i can think of is using virtualdub after doing all chapters, and splitting them into seperate xvid files, but that's some work as well, and plus, some series dvds have their chapters on multiple VOB chains, not just one, so makes it more complicated.

well, i got around the series being on multiple vob chain files by using dvd shrink and putting them all onto one chain so it's easier to encode the whole batch in auto gk.

so i'll hold off on making them seperate xvid's per chapter until someone has experience doing this themselves and not so much work.

the main problem is the series are placed over multiple vob chains. so i have to copy each vob chain in IFO mode in dvd decryptor, and then use auto gk to encode them seperately, then use virtualdub to merge them together into one xvid file. the chapter thing is no biggie, i'd rather just have them in one big file.

if anyone has any better suggestions on how to do this, lemme know,

thanks,
