View Full Version : Can't rip audio from OGM file

Hi,
I have an OGM file that sounds perfectly fine, but when I try to use Vdubmod to either demux or save the audio to a wav, I only end up with like 2s of the audio, when vdubmod clearly recognizes the audio stream to be over 1hr long. The same thing happens when I try to direct stream copy the file to say a mkv file.

Does anyone know what's wrong, and how I can rip the audio?

Thanks!

Try OGMDemuxer available here (http://corecodec.org/projects/ogmtools).

You can try to decompress the audio first with a freeware called Avi Audio Decompressor that comes with Avi to VCD. You need to type or paste the full pathname of the ogm file in the file open dialog box as it filters out what is not .avi (or rename your .ogm to .avi). You'll get an .avi with PCM audio 44100. You can then save the audio with Vdub or Aviutil.

Most of the ogm would be demuxed the ogg by VDM,isn't it?
Some strange files could be rip(or decompress) by graphedit, I think...
BTW, my friend has the same situation, but I can demux the same file... I can't understand why:confused:

Thanks. OGMDemuxer worked.
