I've been attempting to use DVD Decrypter to rip chapter 22 of Pearl Harbor. I choose to keep the AC3 audio at 0x80, but remap the DTS audio to 0x88 (deleting the french DTS at 0x88 originally), when the operation is done though, the vob is all choppy and freezes PowerDVD, and WinDVD isn't any better...
However when I do the same rip, but just leave the english DTS at the original offset 0x8a, the whole chapter rips just fine
any idea whats up? Not sure what i'm doing wrong :P Thanks!

You've basically got 2 streams on the same stream number (you are only allowed 8 in total)
0x80 is the first AC3
0x88 is the first DTS
You cant do that, it has to be 0x80 (Stream 1), 0x89 (Stream 2) OR 0x81 (Stream 2), 0x88 (Stream 1).
The next would then be 0x82 or 0x90 (Stream 3) - if you follow what I mean?!?
Not sure if that'll fix the problem but from an authoring point of view, that's how it works.

Ahh beautiful :) That was the piece of information I was missing! So if I put a AC3 track at 0x81 and a DTS track at 0x88, then the default audio stream within the VOB will be the DTS stream if I understand right? If so, that's perfect! And thanks for the awesome program lightning_uk, guess it's time to make a donation!
