1.79 Problem: 1st pass loop

I'm just playing with 1.79.

Source: PAL 720x576, 48164 frames
Settings. XviD, 1/3 CD, MinWidth 512
CompTest precentage 33:17
Using softer resizer
Chose resolution 512x384 (1:33)
Predicted comptes value 54.21
Running first pass
Loop
Actual result file size ~130 MB
Expected quality size 157.86
Trying to adjust settings
Using sharper matrix
Using softer matrix
Chosen resolution 512x384
Predicted comptest value 55.85
Rerunning first pass
Never ending.

Hi folks,

I have a similar problem..
Everthing goes fine up the the end of 1st pass,

Then it gave a message "Unable to resize image"
"File will be smaller than expected" (Log file window)

I know the syntax isn't exact, but the Idea is the same.

It will finish the avi (xvid) but the quality will be
low, and ussually around 500K in size, even thought it
was set to 2gigs.

I installed Nero 6 Ultra... Could their drivers cause a problem?

Any news? version 1.80 should not loop anymore but I can't reproduce sequence of events like "using sharper matrix, using softer matrix" unles you're ready to provide me with the source.

Your problem is not similar at all. :logfile: and :readfaq: 6.3. And yes, installing different codecs can affect XviD, so its reinstall would be the first thing to do.
