DVD behavior in SVCD??

I was wondering if it was possible to stop playing an SVCD and not have it go all the way back to the beginning of the movie. Pressing stop while playing a DVD usually stops the disc but you came come back an hour later, hit play and the movie picks up right where it left off. Is this possible with an SVCD and if it is how?

That functionality is a function of the hardware/software player. In svcd mode most hardware players do not support resume. There isnt anything you can do to have it, just hopefully you own a player that supports that. having chapters in your svcd can help you reach where you want to go a bit faster tho but of course isnt the same thing.
