DVD Gurus,
Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been lurking for a little bit now(5 day wait) and I am having a problem. The problem has been posted here, but I read no solution. I am using a mad dog 4x dvd burner(single layer, really a rebadged toshiba) and some 4x single layer dvd-r discs(with great success). I was trying to back up In the Army Now, which is a dual layer disc, on to a single layer disc. I used dvd decrypter to rip the movie to my hd in file mode. Then I used Clone DVD (most recent version) to take off some extras and burn the film. Here is my problem, taken from a post in this forum:
"On playback, the Pioneer 545 proceeded smoothly up to the end of the first layer and then froze. It was possible to access material on the second layer via chapter selection or the next/prior buttons, but next to impossible to get at the remainder of the interrupted chapter. On top of all that, the hassle with the controls to continue the movie was an unwelcome intrusion."
I am wondering is there something that can be done to alleviate this problem, or should I be using other software? I am not exactly an advanced user so I am looking for something fairly easy to use. I would love to keep using clone dvd if it were possible. Thanks
