Hi guys,
I have a DVD that I've modified to get rid of a lot of extras.
Now
- when I burn it on a DVD-RW with Nero (6.0.0.15) in File mode, playback hangs (using PowerDVD)
- When I burn it with DVDDecrypter (ISO mode, ISO file created with imgtool) playback is normal.
I'm puzzled. mpucoder in this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=568841#post568536
mentioned that burning programs behave differently when it comes to packing files and adjusting VTS sectors, especially when there are small files. So, thinking that that might explain the difference between a DVDDecrypter burn and a Nero Burn, I did a full windiff between the two, and found absolutely no difference.
This indicates that nero did not modify the VTS sectors in the IFO files.
But why is it that one burn plays in PowerDVD and the other one does not? (I've checked with several DVD-RW, same results each time!).
