I have 6 Feet Under season 2, and the discs are pretty scratched up and skip a lot. I'm trying to rip them with with DVD Decrypter & InstantCopy.

I really don't care that much about the DVDs. I just want to make a copy that is watchable and doesn't hang-up most of the DVD players I put it in.

So, the series is 5 discs. I got 3 of them to rip perfectly after setting retries up to 50 on DVD Decrypter and trying several different DVD-ROMs. I'm not sure what to do with the 2 discs that don't work, though.

Disc 1 has a lot of problems, but the only file I can't get to rip is a VOB that doesn't contain anything important. It's just a preview.

Disc 2 has a lot of errors towards the end of an actual episode.

I'm not going to be able to get the data back, and I really don't care enough to go rent the DVDs to rip good copies. I just want something that will play, even if it looks bad for a couple seconds.

I've left DVD Decrypter going for a very long time with skip errors and 0 retries, but it's still taking a very long time. It's been trying to rip the last 5% of disc 2 for about 6 hours. Is there something better to use for this? Could I use something like ISO Buster to skip the errors faster, then maybe manually decrypt it?

Also, once I get all the VOBs ripped, is there anything I can do to keep InstantCopy from crashing when I try to encode it? I don't care if I have a lot of black frames; I just want to turn the VOBs into valid files so I can rip them.
