Buying new DVD-/+RW is not as simple as I think, hmmm

I just realize how hard to choose new DVD-/+RW burner,
since there are too many brands, media compatibilty, etc.

What do you think ?

Can someone give me a clue or at least a simple rule of thumbs
to choose the good price and performance DVD-/+RW burner ?

It's been almost 1 year and I still can't decide which one to be
bought. The good news is the price is drop and drop :)

Ps. Buying CD-RW is not as hard as DVD-/+RW imho.

If single layer burn quality is the most important factor to you then I don't think you can do much better then the NEC ND-3500A (price/performance) though the Pioneer DVR-A08XLA might be better. You might want to check out http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/ if you haven't been there before.
