i've required a copy of 'les triplettes de belleville', the problem is when i try to convert it to an avi vitrualdubmod says that it doesnt recognise it: no decompression found for ÿÿÿÿ...
the reason i want an avi is to transfer it to dvd so my girlfriend (who's a graph artist) can watch it...

Btw: is there a tool for seeing and removing every codec on my system, while searching for the right solution to convert it to avi, i've installed so much codecs and filters i havent got an idea about wich i have and wich i ve not

thx

it probably is realvideo, you cant convert that with VirtualDubMod

use TMPGEnc

you could always try DirectShowSource in avisynth. if you can play it in Media Player, you can encode it with DirectShowSource (TM)

TMPGEnc supports input via dshow, if you can play it (via dshow) then it can convert it. Just add it and convert as usual, if it doesn't show up on the input selection, just change the file browser tab thing to All files *.*. Then select it.
