If I want to back up my DVD's 1:1 by ripping and burning DL with DVDdecrypter, is the NEC 3500 a good choice?

There's currently a DVD writer roundup (http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=2260) on Anandtech. They seem to like the NEC 3500, and it appears to be the fastest DL burner on the media they used.
