I know autogk is aimed at being totally user friendly. and i love it for this. i even switched from gk to agk for this reason. there is however one thing that gk has that agk does not, the ability to edit the avs file. is this ever going to be a feature? like hidden options maybe or a check box in the advanced tab?

the only reason i ask is because there are a bunch of movies i have that have forced subs. some of which aren't flagged as forced. kill bill for instance. i got the forced stream and made a perfect .ssa file. i tried encoding it by hand in vdubmod and everything came out fine except the filesize. i can never get a spot in hit manually which is why i use agk.

i tried using the agktweaker, but 1.51b doesn't call it.
or is there maybe another way to edit the avs prior to encoding in agk?

First, free editing of avs will never be an option in AutoGK (that's not to say you will never be able to insert custom stuff in it, but this is not immediate future.)

Second, what's wrong with just selecting stream that contains forced subs (Kill Bill has a separate stream for them) without checking "forced subs" on setting?

Third, ability to specify an external sub file to be embedded into avi is discussed in "Next milestone" thread in this forum - and soon this feature should be put as target one.

len0x.

other times i would choose the option to embed the subs the way you suggested. as a matter of fact, that's the way i did them the first time i encoded the movie. however since i watch the movie on my tv through xbmc, the subs where way to small. so i raised the font to 22 and made the ssa file. when i encoded the movie manually with the ssa the subs look very nice through xbmc.

i finally got agktweaker to work so the movie and embedded subs look awesome.

sorry if my other post came off as demanding. i didn't mean to be, i was just asking a question i couldn't find an answer for.

thanks for replying.

Not at all - I was trying to clarify things, because support of external text subs is not the same as avs editing.
