50/60fps creation?

i just got an avs filter to do this - fine if i could figure out all that business.
but.,,

is there a secret method to force auto gk to make 50fps video for pc playback from a 25fps interlaced pal source? - i saw an example and the difference was pretty great.

There are a number of deinterlacers available with GKnot, but you're certainly able to choose your own, or double the framerate, or use any other AviSynth filter you'd like.

Just press the "Edit" button from the filter selection window that pops up when you press the "Save & Encode" button from the video preview window. You can then edit the script, preview it (to make sure it works), save the edited script, or save and encode after editing.

The only way I know that might work is to use gircobain's AutoGK Tweaker (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79227) utility. It's supposed to allow you to edit the .avs that AutoGK uses. I haven't used it, so I can't comment on how well it works.

Filters that are changing frame rate won't work correctly in AutoGK since FPS is not known to it. It will result in quality/size problems.
