View Full Version : DTS audio with AVI2DVD?

Hi there,

I often use AVI2DVD to convert MPEG4 AVI's with AC3 audio into DVD compatible MPEG2 files.

Sometime I let AVI2DVD convert the AC3 audio into MP2 using BeSweet, and sometimes I rip out the AC3 stream using VirtualDubMod or AVIMux GUI then edit the .d2s file forcing bbMPEG to use that instead.

This is all fine, and I'm very happy :-)

I now have an MPEG4 AVI file with DTS audio. Can I do the same things?

That is, will BeSweet convert DTS into MP2? And will bbMPEG happily mux MPEG2 video with DTS audio?

If not, could someone recommend to me a procedure that would work. I'd preferably like to keep the DTS audio, rather than convert it.

Thanks very much.

I cannot give you a full guide, but I can point out:
- mplex/dvdauthor are able to manage dts.
- BeSweet is also able to decode (and encode to mp2 after) with azidts.dll (but I never tried). There are many threads about this topic in audio forum.

Thankyou. I'll take a nose over there...
