When everything went fine in scenarist you'll end up with a DVD-Image folder ready to burn and an image file. Is is possible to avoid making this image file because of the file size and i don't need it, i always burn the video folder.

Edit:can one manually load the scp script into scenarist?

To my knowledge, when using D2S and scenarist, the .iso image file is always created, there is nothing you can do about it. You can manually cancel scenarist whilst it is in the final 'creating disc image' phase; this still results in the VIDEO_TS folder being created, but no .iso image.
When DVD2DVD has finished OR has been cancelled AFTER the scenarist script has been created, it is indeed possible to load the .scp file by running scenarist and selecting 'new from script'. You then have to point it to your movie0.scp file, and give a NEW scenarist (.scn) file. This cannot be movie0.scn (because it already exists), I recommend movie1.scn. Once it has finished importing the script, you can then manually mux & create just the Video_TS directory. I can post more details on how to manually mux and build if you request. I use scenarist 2.7, so my directions will be specific to that version.
Incidentally, DVD-Author is capable of being configured in D2S so that it does not automatically create the .iso image.

Hi Bert,
These are for v2.7, I hope they are applicable to v2.6.
1. Wait for DVD2DVD to create the scenarist script 'movie0.scp' file. Shutdown scenarist & dvd2dvd if you wish; or you can wait till it has completed.
2. Run scenarist and select 'New from script'.
3. Select your 'movie0.scp' file.
3. Create a new 'Scenarist file' by clicking on the '...' button.
Type in movie1 and hit enter (this filename will automatically be given the .scn extension. Note this must be an original name. If scenarist has been allowed to run previously, movie0.scn cannot be used. Hit OK, to begin importing.
4. Scenarist will then begin importing the video, audio & subs files. This usually takes 2-5 minutes. v2.7 normally makes a noise and puts up an 'OK' dialog box when it has finished importing. Hit enter.
5. Go to the 'Layout editor' tab, and
Step1: Select 'DVD Video' under 'Format desired'.
Step2: Check the paths for Target, DVD Root & Mux, these are always set up correctly with v2.7
Step3: Check the 'Create DVD Video' box. The default options of 2048, partial & without CSS need no modification.
Step4: Dont check 'Create Disc Image' or the 'premastering' boxes.
Step5: Hit start, and if everything muxes & builds ok, in 30-45 minutes you should have a VIDEO_TS folder to burn.
I hope this helps,
regards,
Bob
