OK, ive looked through the pdf that comes with it,the guide on this site and done a search here but could'nt find anything on the subject.
Its about the bitrate tweaker in cce 2.67 to limit bitrate during credits.Ive figured out that i put in the time of when the credits start, but does anyone actually use this and does it make a difference??

i.e, if i limit the credits to say a max of 2000 with this then allow for more/better bit allocation in the movie its self.?

Lastly if you think it does make a difference what max do you limit the bitrate on the cradits to.?

Thanks

It's not a feature of CCE, it's a feature of EclCCE.

All that happens is that after the vaf pass, in the advanced window EclCCE sets the bitrate (max average I presume) to the value you specify from the time period you specify until the end. Any bitrate savings (could be say 3000 kbit over 5 mins, which equals around 100 MB) will then be automatically reallocated to the rest of the video based on need.

Will it make a difference? Well it depends on how low your average bitrate is, and the size of the credits, obviously. But it ain't going to make a world of difference. Then again why not use it? I've used the tweak for straight white on black credits, and 2000 seems to be quite safe. The white seems to lose its brightness a little bit, but there's no pixellation or anything like that.
