Trying to back up Long Kiss Goodnight. It's decrypted with DVD Decrypter. When I open files, it tells me Invalid data in the first VOB file. The DVD itself plays just fine. What up with that?

I had exactly same experience with 007 - The World is Not enough. Plays fine from Hard disk, but Shrink report problem with first VOB file. Hopefully someone can explain what we're doing wrong.

Try doing a mock strip (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=84097) on your first VTS, VTS_01_0.IFO. You can actually find out which VTS or VTs are giving you problems by using DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5. It can open up your IFOs individually and if there is a problem/error, then DVD Shrink will let you know. ;)

I've looked around and cannot find a current download for V3.05 I'm using V3.2.0.15, but haven't been able to find any Mock strip option / setting. Any idea where I can find V3.05b?
I was able to re-author and copy either the main movie or all of the extras without a problem. So the files appear to be solid. It's just DVDShrink that's reporting the problem.
I tried using IFOEDIT to check the IFO file but no improvement.
I finally went through and removed several of the extras / languages to bring compression back up to about 70% and was then able to burn successfully - though without the menus.
Guess I'll just have to use the original and hope it stays good.

DVD Shrink downloads (http://www.dvdshrink.info/downloads.php).
Edit: I'm using V3.2.0.15, but haven't been able to find any Mock strip option / setting.DVD Shrink obviously does not have this option. The words "mock strip" in RED, in my previous post, is a clickable link. Click on that to get to the IfoEdit guide. ;)

Nero Recode is also another solution. :D

Using DVD Decryptor, I (like others) was able to rip the DVD to my hard disc but continued to get error messages with DVD Shrink. However, I could play the files on the hard disc without error and could burn a functional DVD with Nero (2 non-critical errors were noted during the burn but the disc works fine).
As recommended by 2COOL, I then did a "mock strip" of VTS_01_0.IFO as (see http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=84097) and was subsequently able to use DVD Shrink to remove unnecessary files (I usually just want the movie). Even without DVD Shrink, the total files were only a little over 4 GB.
Thanks everyone for the help!
