I tried to install the new update and in return i got a message 'THAT INSTANTCOPY 8 VERSION CANNOT BE FOUND' .What did i do wrong ?

Uninstall it, install again InstantCopy8 and then apply the latest update InstantCopyUpdate8.3.0.8.exe

No!
Just download or move the update to your instantcopy folder, then install it.
The update looks for IC in the folder it's in.

On my system, it didn't matter where I placed it prior to running the update .exe, it wouldn't find ICv8. VILLA21's advice worked for me :)

BTW, is v1.4.3 still the latest version of IC Hidden Settings Editor?

ok i may be off target it here but i am just wondering if you guys are trying to install that over the standalone instantcopy. you do notice from the download path its an update for the instantcopy version that comes with instant cd/dvd ? and from memory they dont have matching versioning. notice DL support in this update ? wasnt that already in the last update for the standalone version ? so wouldnt this just be bringing the instant cd/dvd version up to date with that ?

I'm using the standalone version. It now has DL support. The v8.3.0.4 update didn't have DL support (to my knowledge).

i just went back and found the information about the last update. these were what i remembered

Added: DVD-9 Support to Main UI
Added: DVD9-PDI writing over IDiscSDK2.dll for correct Layer break handling

also in the other post the direct link is to the instant cd/dvd drawer. strange since the update page says it wont work if instant cd/dvd is installed.

No worries :) I'm just running a test now, mainly to see if the output sizing is any better (I doubt it), and whether it still produces non-compliant output when stripping a single title (with no menu). By non-compliant, I mean that you couldn't load the output into DVD-Shrink, you used to get an error message about missing files.

yes there is a post floating around here somewhere where someone showed how to fix the output from instancopy with ifoedit so it loaded in dvdshrink.

As expected, the output sizing problem remains. I asked for 4.32GB and received 3.91GB. In addition, you still cannot load the stripped output into DVD-Shrink. Sadly, there is nothing to write home about in this update.
